Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov participates at 16th Conference of the Network of Prosecutors General of the European Union. This year the forum takes place at Budapest, Hungary.
The conference program includes topics related to countering online crime, challenges and opportunities of digital evolution in justice, as well as tackling environmental crime through domestic, European and international actions. The forum is opened by Hungarian Prosecutor General Péter Polt and the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér.
In addition to Prosecutors General and equivalent institutions at the Supreme Courts of the European Union Member States, the conference is attended by representatives of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, the European Commission, Eurojust, the European Judicial Training Network and the International Association of Prosecutors.
NADAL network aims to create a direct connection between the Heads of prosecution services of the EU Member States and to discuss current issues related to criminal cooperation and effective application of EU law. It is named after the former French Prosecutor General Jean-Louis Nadal whose initiative the network was established in Vienna in 2008.
