Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov and the Prosecutor General of the State of Bavaria Reinhard Röttle discussed the current practices for confiscation of assets acquired through criminal means

Countering money laundering and current practices for confiscation of assets acquired through criminal means were in focus of the conversation between Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov and Reinhard Röttle, Prosecutor General of the State of Bavaria. Special attention was also paid to seizure of digital financial assets - cryptocurrencies from participants in cross-border criminal groups.

Both General Prosecutors reached an agreement on joint training between Bavarian and Bulgarian magistrates. Borislav Sarafov invited the Bavarian Prosecutor General Reinhard Röttle to visit Bulgaria again.

The Bulgarian delegation also met with Guido Limer, Vice President of the Bavarian Criminal Investigation Service. The opportunities provided by the 3D Holodeck technology in the investigation of criminal cases were also presented.

The Bulgarian delegation, led by the Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, includes Viktor Malinov, Head of department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office, Deyan Zahariev, Deputy Administrative Head of Sofia City Prosecutor's Office and Yordan Petrov, Prosecutor at Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office.
