Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov met with the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Türkiye Muhsin Şentürk. This was the first meeting between them since Şentürk took office in 2024. Borislav Sarafov emphasized on the high level of trust between the Bulgarian and Turkish Prosecutors' Offices and invited his colleague to visit Bulgaria.
During the visit to Ankara of the delegation from the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office led by the Acting Prosecutor General, meetings were held with the Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and the President of the Supreme Court of Appeal Ömer Kerkez. Criminal law cooperation between the two countries, as well as issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The delegation from the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office led by Borislav Sarafov includes Deputy Prosecutor General Vanya Stefanova, the Administrative Head of Sofia City Prosecutor's Office Iliana Kirilova, and the Deputy Heads of Sofia City Prosecutor's Office Bozhidara Ganeva and Marina Nenkova.
