Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prosecutor General of Poland, Jacek Bilewicz, within the framework of the 19th Meeting of the Consultative Forum of Prosecutors General and Directors of Public Prosecutions of the Member States of the European Union (EU), which is taking place in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Both discussed the good cooperation and active interaction between the Bulgarian and Polish Prosecutors' Offices, as well as the opportunities for continuing exchange of good practices to increase the effectiveness of investigative bodies in the fight against cross-border crime.
During the meeting, Borislav Sarafov and Jacek Bilewicz also discussed a specific case, concerning a joint investigation between the Prosecutors' Offices of Bulgaria, Poland and Ukraine.
With a view to deepening judicial cooperation in criminal cases between the Prosecutors' Offices of Bulgaria and Poland, Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov extended an official invitation to the Polish Prosecutor General to visit our country.
