Acting Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Borislav Sarafov and a delegation led by him is on a visit to Munich, Federal Republic of Germany. This visit is in response to the official visit of the Prosecutor General of the State of Bavaria Reinhard Röttle last year in Sofia.
The Bulgarian delegation includes Viktor Malinov, Head of Department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office, Deyan Zahariev, Deputy Administrative Head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office and Yordan Petrov, prosecutor at the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office.
The program of the visit includes meetings with the General Prosecutor of the State of Bavaria, Reinhard Röttle, with heads of departments at the Office of the Prosecutor General in Munich and with representatives of the Bavarian Central Anti-Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Office. The discussions will cover issues of mutual interest related to countering money laundering and various forms of cybercrime, as well as the exchange of expertise.
The Bulgarian delegation is scheduled to meet at the Bavarian Criminal Investigation Office, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Traunstein and the Special Unit for Prosecution of Cross-Border Crimes of the Bavarian Police.
The visit is expected to affirm and deepen the active cooperation between the Bulgarian and the Bavarian Prosecutor's Offices in cases of cross-border nature related to the fight against corruption, financing of terrorism and others.
