A delegation from the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria led by Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov is on a visit to the Republic of Türkiye at an invitation of the Prosecutor General to the Supreme Court of Appeal of Türkiye Muhsin Şentürk. This will be the first meeting between the General Prosecutors of Bulgaria and Türkiye since Şentürk took office in 2024.
The visit of the Bulgarian Prosecutor General and the delegation led by him to Ankara is an expression of the high level of trust and excellent cooperation between the two Prosecution offices and the readiness to expand them.
The program of the visit also includes meetings with the Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç and with the President of the Supreme Court of Appeal Ömer Kerkez.
The fight against human trafficking and various forms of cross-border organized crime, the fight against terrorism, as well as cooperation on criminal matters will be among the main topics of the talks between the Bulgarian and Turkish sides.
The delegation of the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office includes Deputy Prosecutor General Vanya Stefanova, the Administrative Head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office Iliana Kirilova and Deputy Heads of Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office - Bozhidara Ganeva and Marina Nenkova.
