The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Geshev met today, 24.10.2022, at the Palace of Justice in Sofia with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Libya - His Excellency Abu Bakr Ahmad Said Salih.
They discussed issues of mutual interest regarding the rule of law, combating illegal migration, human trafficking and terrorism.
Ivan Geshev and Abu Bakr Ahmad Said Salih also discussed the prospects for development of relations between the law enforcement bodies of Bulgaria and Libya.
The signing of a cooperation agreement between the prosecutor's offices of both countries was also discussed, as well as the training of magistrates. The Prosecutor General extended an invitation to his Libyan colleague Sediq al-Sour to visit Bulgaria.
