Acting Prosecutor General Vanya Stefanova awarded officials of American law enforcement agencies - Secret Service and the FBI, also officials of the Department of Justice and the Embassy of the United States of America in Sofia. The awards are an expression of recognition for their contribution to the development of professional cooperation between the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and partner institutions of the United States
The awards are for a great assistance and expert support provided in the investigation of pre-trial proceedings with high factual and legal complexity, as well as for joint trainings that have helped to increase the professional qualification and competence of Bulgarian prosecutors and investigators in working on cases related to serious, organized and cross-border crime.
The cooperation between the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, American law enforcement agencies and US diplomats continues to contribute to increasing the effectiveness of criminal prosecution and strengthening institutional capacity in combating crime.
