Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov participated in the discussion "Justice through Highest Dialogue", organized by the General Secretariat of the NADAL Network. The meeting, which was held in an online format, focused on harmonizing the application of European Union law in member states, strengthening cross-border cooperation, improving teamwork between national Prosecutors' Offices, including support to institutions such as Eurojust and the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN).
During the online meeting, specific projects for training magistrates were discussed, as well as the possibility of cooperation with the International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights in Siracusa, Italy.
The network of prosecutors or equivalent institutions attached to the Supreme courts of the Member States of the European Union (NADAL) aims to create a direct link between the heads of Prosecution Offices of the EU Member States and to discuss topical issues related to criminal law cooperation and the effective application of EU law. It is named in honor of former French Prosecutor General Jean-Louis Nadal, on whose initiative the network was established in Vienna in 2008.
