20 September 2024

Prosecutors from the Supreme Prosecutor's Office Desislava Pironeva and Vanya Ilieva participate in a project "Mutual recognition of freezing and confiscation orders between effectiveness and the rule of law". The project is funded under the Justice Programme of the European Commission and is coordinated by the University of Catania

The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria has a beneficiary status in the implementation of the project, which aims to improve the implementation of Regulation (EC) 1805/2018 on the mutual recognition of freezing orders and confiscation orders.

The seminar, taking place within the framework of the project, is a forum for dialogue between the project members and national experts from other member states. Opinions are expected to be exchanged on the guidelines, recommendations and proposals for reforms and policies discussed during its implementation.
