A delegation of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, led by the Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev is on a working visit to the State of Israel.
In the delegation are included the Head of the International Department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office Tsvetomir Yosifov and the Deputy Director of the National Investigation Service Yasen Todorov.
The visit is at the invitation of the Zionist federation of Bulgaria, a member of the World Zionist Organization.
The proactive role of the prosecution in countering terrorism and manifestations of anti-Semitism are among the highlights of the working meetings that the Bulgarian delegation will have in Israel.
The program of the visit includes meetings with representatives of the Israeli magistracy and security forces. Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev will also hold talks with Robert Singer, Chairman of the Center for Jewish Impact and member of the leadership of the Combat Antisemitism Movement, in connection with the leading contribution of the Prosecutor's Office in preventing the so-called "Lukov March" from taking place in the Bulgarian capital.
In the context of the 80th anniversary of the Salvation of the Bulgarian Jews Ivan Geshev will also meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Israel.
The Bulgarian delegation will also have meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Knesset of the State of Israel.
