A delegation of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, headed by the Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, is on an official visit to Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
The visit is at the invitation of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Dr. Kamran Aliyev. Deputy Prosecutor General for Investigations and Director of the National Investigation Service Borislav Sarafov and Siyka Mileva, spokesperson of the Prosecutor General also take part in the visit.
During the visit a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation will be signed between the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The main objective of the bilateral document is to consolidate and build on the traditionally good and long-standing cooperation between the two institutions in the field of international legal cooperation in the prosecution of cross-border crime, drug trafficking, computer crimes, etc.
The Bulgarian delegation will also get acquainted with the work of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
