Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev is visiting the Republic of Türkiye. On the Bulgarian part member of the delegation is also Tsvetomir Yosifov, Head of the International Department at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office.
Meetings of Ivan Geshev with the Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and the Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ will be held in Ankara.
During the talks between the leaders of Bulgarian and Turkish prosecutor’s Offices criminal law issues of mutual interest and the fight against terrorism will be discussed. During the meetings of Bulgarian Prosecutor General with Turkish officials special importance will be given to the mutual efforts to counter the increased migratory pressure in the region and to cut off the activity of cross border channels for this type of crimes.
