The continuation of judicial reform in our country in the context of the rule of law was discussed by the Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and Mr Adrián Vázquez Lázara Chair of the of the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs at a working meeting in the European Parliament in Brussels.
The Prosecutor General expressed the desire of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria to participate in the process of updating the legislative framework to strengthen independence and increase public confidence in the judiciary.
Ivan Geshev also emphasized the actions taken by the Prosecutor's Office to protect human rights and freedoms, especially with regard to vulnerable social groups.
