Today, 27th October, 2021, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Geshev met with the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of North Macedonia Ljubomir Joveski, at whose invitation he is on official visit in Skopje. The program of the visit includes a meeting with the Minister of Justice Boyan Maricik.
In the course of the bilateral talks were discussed topics about the fight against organized crime, cooperation in criminal matters, as well as issues of mutual interest. The traditionally good relations and co-operation between law enforcement agencies of the two neighboring Balkan countries were also highlighted.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of North Macedonia have a cooperation agreement since 2015 for strengthening contacts between prosecutors and work together in all areas of prosecutorial activity.
