The prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and the leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria attended the unveiling of a bust of Woodrow Wilson

Today, September 16, 2021, Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and the leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria attended the unveiling of a bust of the 28th US President Woodrow Wilson in the garden in front of the Regional History Museum in Sofia.

The initiative for the erection of the monument belongs to the Association of Prosecutors and the Chamber of Investigators in Bulgaria. It is a sign of gratitude to the merits of the American statesman for preserving the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bulgaria after the Neuilly Treaty and the Paris Peace Conference.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria (2002-2012) Georgi Parvanov, the Deputy Mayor of Sofia Doncho Barbalov, the historian Associate Professor Dr. Todor Chobanov, Brent LaRosa, the Attaché for Education and Culture at the US Embassy in Bulgaria, the members of the Initiative Committee for the erection of the monument, representatives of academia, intellectuals, public figures, magistrates, judicial officials and citizens.
