On the base of a signal by the State Agency "National Secutiry", pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for a crime against the Republic of Bulgaria in accordence with Art. 104 (1) and Art. 109 of the Penal Code.
In the course of the investigation was established that the two citizens of the Russian Federation were conducted unregulated intelligence activity in contradiction with the diplomatic relations.
It was also established that the two Russian cititzens are enjoyning diplomatic immunitites in accordance with the Vienna Convention for diplomatic relations.
With this regard, on March, 22 2021, the Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev notified the Minister of Foreign Affairs about the established in the course of investigation.
