The Prosecutor general of Bulgaria Mr Sotir Tsatsarov gave in an interview for Nova TV about the brutal killing of Victoria Marinova in Ruse. He said the Bulgarian authorities are waiting the extradition of the suspected murderer Severin Krassimirov from Germany. The DNA traces found all over the body of the victim prove that the 21-year-old man is the perpetrator of the brutal killing. During the interrogation held in Germany the accused did not deny that he did the murder. Severin Krasimirov was arrested on 9th of October after a signal from the Bulgarian authorities.
Mr Tsatsarov added that all possibilities concerning the murder are being investigated but the evidences indicate that it was a spontaneous sexual assault.There are no proofs found that the brutal killing is somehow related to the victim’s professional activity.
The Prosecutor general explained that there is no information that the victim could have provoked Severin Krassimirov and that the physical injuries caused on Victoria Marinova are extremely brutal and severe. There is an evidence that the suspected murderer drank a large amount of alcohol and possibly took some kind of drugs in the hours before the killing.
